About Morgan Bennett
My name is Morgan Bennett. I moved from Erie, PA to North Myrtle Beach, SC in 1997. I went on to graduate from Coastal Carolina University in 2005 with a BS in Business Administration. I am a wife to a very patient man and the mother of two beautiful, energetic, loving, and spirited little girls ages 3 and 14 months.
My philosophy is to always look at life through the eyes of a child, doing my best to keep a pure outlook on everything. I love growing and learning from other people’s experiences as well as my own. I also strive to live peacefully and believe in raising children with positivity and gentle discipline.
Many of my friends call me granola because I am a pretty crunchy mom. I do what I can to reduce my carbon footprint. I have a small obsession with cloth diapers and brewing my own Kombucha. I plan on homeschooling my two daughters when the time comes. For now, I love to watch them grow and learn everything organically.
I am passionate about being healthy and leading a healthy lifestyle above all else (with the exception of my family). Eating healthy, taking care of my body and mind, and taking care of my family is what I thrive on. I have been working in the fitness industry part time since, 2007 and in early 2012 I left my job at Frontier Communications to stay home with my family and focus on my work in personal training, fitness education, and nutrition. In addition to being a Certified Personal Trainer and Licensed Zumba Instructor, I am also certified in Pilate’s, Spinning, water aerobics, group fitness, and Yoga. I am getting ready to start working on my 200 hour Yoga teacher training.
I am devoted to motivating and supporting people on their journey to a healthier lifestyle and better quality of life. This passion naturally translates into the world of motherhood. I believe that for most, being healthy and fit before pregnancy makes for an easier pregnancy and labor as well as aiding in recovery postpartum. I also believe in the physical power of women to birth; for this reason, alongside my personal experience, I am an active supporter of natural childbirth and vaginal birth after cesarean. In addition to promoting health before, during, and after pregnancy I also do my best to normalize and pass along what I have learned throughout the years about breastfeeding including full term breastfeeding, tandem nursing, and milk sharing. I am nursing my 3 year old and 14 month old. I have donated hundreds of ounces of milk. These aspects of breastfeeding are near to my heart. Because of my passion and experience with breastfeeding I will soon be studying to become a LLL Leader so I may extend support to other women who are embarking on new journeys as a mother.
